August was a crazy blur that was over before we knew it! Caleb's respiratory infection at the end of July made his pediatrician refer him up to a specialist at Walter Reed who diagnosed him as pre-asthmatic. Fingers crossed that he still can outgrow this! One of his favorite times of day is at bedtime when Daddy reads him "lost button" (Frog and Toad) and either "yeh-yo" or "boo" "ooh-ooh ah ah" (yellow or blue Curious George).
Papi was sure that popsicles would make Caleb feel better:
We also finally got his Zum bike put together so that he could practice balancing. He still needs to grow a couple inches before its real effective :) He has gotten really good at riding his scooter and trike down to the sidewalk, down to the neighbors driveway and then back to our house!
He LOVES a fireman hat!
More bike and more ball early in the morning:
Being silly with his dog blankey:
Mickey PJs!
Baby girl is such a good sleeper!
Me and my babies!
Yaya though a pinwheel would keep Caleb entertained for awhile to give us a break from 'mo ball' ... not for long.
Shucking corn with Yaya and Papi! Caleb can eat 2 full ears of corn!
This is Caleb's absolute favorite thing to do. Play ball in the basement. He has a little goal that he shoots on and he is really good (not just Momma proud, but he is really good!). He can dropkick the ball, kick it on the bounce (half-volley), and kick it high high in the sky!
Daddy and his babies snuggling:
He is getting really good at coloring!
We also discovered his love of hats when he kept taking Papi's hat off the table and putting it on:
We took Yaya to Charlottesville and we got to spend an afternoon with the cousins! Jeff, Mandy and their family got to meet Lexi for the first time too!
Scout and Caleb are peas in a pod!
We stopped for ice-cream on the way home and while I nursed Lexi, Caleb got to "drive":
Superman lives in our house!
Up up and away!
P-Mo came to meet Lexi and visit and while she was here she made Mickey pancakes for breakfast!
... and she showed Caleb the art of building a fort with blankets and the couch!
Caleb's other favorite pastime is playing with the 3 balls out in the yard! P-Mo was a sport and played with him (fighting off the mosquitos)!
We ventured out for a breakfast (first time with 2 kiddos!) and found a nearby park where Caleb could burn some energy while Lexi (once again) nursed!
We met Bryan and Kristen's family up in Potomac Mills for dinner and so P-Mo could join them for their flight to Texas in the morning ... Caleb loves his Uncle Bryan!
Little stinkpot at dinner :)
Lexi got her first tub bath after her belly button thing fell off!
She's a little water baby! Yeah!!
Trying to wrangle a rambunctious 2 year old is tough with a newborn! We went on the hunt to find some new parks! We found a great one near a winery that kept him contained in a fence!
My old roomie sent some adorable Aggie gear for Lexi and a new "yeh-yo dar" for Caleb :)
Uncle Bryan came over to help Michael with the Pony while Kristen and the boys were in Texas ... he got lots of Lexi snuggles (which allowed Michael and me to actually eat together)!
Hello everyone! My beautiful blue eyes are open a whole lot more now (about 3 weeks)!
Our first expedition back to church ... all dressed up and snuggling with Daddy during the service!
Caleb's first time at actually "holding" Lexi!
Finally. Caleb is big enough for the earphones!!!! I don't have to listen to Little Einsteins or counting DVDs for awhile! Happy Day!!!
Doing the "oo-oo ah-ah" bars with Daddy.
Snuggles with Daddy before bedtime:
Mid-day snuggles with Momma:
Caleb found my old Hawaiian cowboy hat (that is all squished anyway):
Perfect baby girl :)
Bailey got kicked out of the bedroom since Lexi is in there ... so she is finding new sleeping spots:
First Aggie football game for Lexi - Whoop!
Caleb will finally watch the game a little bit with Michael - a dream come true for Michael!
Sleepy smiles!
Someone was in HOG HEAVEN with all of the fans in Bed, Bath and Beyond! His squealing was almost a little embarrassing ... but super funny!
Almost sleepy:
Caleb isn't afraid to get down and dirty to help Uncle Bryan and Daddy on the Pony!
Bryan and Michael made a ton of progress! They got everything installed that had been purchased and fixed the wiring in the dash!
Uncle Bryan looks like Grandpa Larry :)
Inaugural drive since getting her put back together! This was the first time I had ridden in the Pony since Camp Lejeune (finally safe enough)!
Thank you so much for your help Bryan! I'm so excited for Michael that the Pony can be driven again!
