Snorkeling at the Keramas

We took a day trip out to the Kerama Islands on Saturday to snorkel.  It was a beautiful island but I guess the Japanese tourists have been feeding the fish b/c I got bit!  The little booger actually broke skin on the back of my leg.  The fish kept following us around too - looking for food.   It was a very relaxing day with no technology to bug us!

It was probably a triggerfish. They protect their nesting/breeding sites when waiting for wee ones to hatch. Good old motherly love. Don't mess with it! .;-) We've been chased & had our fins chomped at. Other than a good-sized aggressive 6+ foot shark, I can't imagine any fish out there actually considering a human to be meal-worthy, but maybe I just haven't met 'em all yet! ;-)
