March 2013

10 months!
Caleb started standing by himself at 10 months! He changes so much on a daily basis - and it is amazing to see him experience the world for the first time! He is starting to gain a longer attention span so he'll focus on the same activity for longer periods of time. He cruises fast along the furniture! He eats almost anything - he loves cheese, spaghetti, mac and cheese, blackberries, pears, blueberries, and freshly grilled chicken. I have to watch the cheese though because he still has some issues with being "regular" :/  Caleb developed a strong attachment to his lovey (any of the 3 he has) and will go lie on the ground to snuggle with it. He worked on his "m" sounds but likes to repeat "yayayayaya". He also cut two more top teeth this month! Daddy and Caleb love to play "bonk-a-doo" with a soft toy where they bonk each other on the head. He loved to watch airplanes and put his hands in the air when we say "high high in the sky". He also started to give high fives and he had his first Easter at the base chapel sunrise service on Miramar Air Station!
I had my 32nd birthday and Steve and Jan came to San Diego from Vegas to help celebrate! We went to the downtown Fish Market for lunch so that Caleb could join us!
Sitting with the adults!

Time with Granddad Steve!
Michael got me another cake from Extraordinary Desserts!

Yummy!

He also gave me a new diaper bag and some Toms :)

A longtime girlfriend sent some sugar cookies (the same kind that she made for Caleb's baby shower!) ... she even knew she needed to label one for Michael ("this one is for Michael")
 He loves them too!

Early grabbing of the camera ...

Playing with peek-a-boo monkey

Hiding and catching a cat nap ...

Duck towel!

Chunky face :P

Helping Daddy hammer in nails in the carpet ...

The start of the bonk-a-doo game toy from Auntie Linda:

Piggy gets wore out from dodging Caleb all day!

Reading a book:

Outtakes:

Snuggling with Daddy after he got home from work:

Spaghetti!

Bundled up for a walk!

Raccoon booty!

All dressed up in his new Toms :)

We call this his "hidey hole" - he went and hid toys behind the ottoman by crawling through the cat toy!

The hat from Maui was a little small 4 months later :P

Still loves to fly high on the swings!

He'll finally sit in the grass:

First time getting to see the growth chart on the wall:

Visiting Daddy at his office!

Daddy likes to steal lots of kisses!

Trying to pull everything off his desk!

... and trying to do pull-ups!

He's moved on from just turning toys over to actually inspecting them thoroughly!

Bailey being mischievous and climbing into the cupboards:

Piggy keeping an eye on Caleb while I put him down for a nap:

Hi!

A bowl makes the perfect hat!

... and a Pampers box makes the best push toy/carry toy/all around fun ever!

Back at the field on Miramar:

We finally got a hat that fit to keep the sun off his head! The park down the road from our house was amazing - he LOVED going down there!

Finally got the foot in the mouth ...

Eating dinner down at Slaters 50/50:

More swinging at the park after a heavy dinner!

Caleb's first St. Patrick's Day!

Trying to get Caleb to smile :P

Green beer :)

We had a huge lizard try and get in the house numerous times!

Still playing with the incrediblock!

At the CrossFit box on Miramar with Momma :)

Someone came home not feeling well :(

More walks!

His hair is a hot mess!

Working out with Daddy!

Grabbing a snack:

High high in the sky!

The Marines at Air Frames Division made this for Michael to store his CrossFit gear!

We had a BBQ at our house over Easter weekend to say thank you to those that helped us move in!

Mama and Caleb before everyone arrived:

Linda and Caleb:

The boys grilling the meat:

Little Jennalee and Caleb are only a couple months apart - she is such a cutie and they had so much fun playing together!

Michael, aka the baby whisperer, is one of the only people that can get Caleb to calm down and sit still! Their little "teacup" puppy, Dolly, is all dressed up too!

Caleb looked so cute in his Jon Jon outfit!

Making sure everything was kosher in the hidey hole:

The sunrise service on base was really nice and then Caleb got to go and experience IHOP for the first time!
