December 2014

December went by so fast! We were only in town for a few weeks before we headed to Texas to celebrate Christmas. Lexi had a big month - she rolled from back to front (and once from front to back)! We think she is cutting teeth on the bottom because she is not sleeping very well anymore! She went from an amazing sleeper her first 2 months (8-9 hours/night) to only sleeping in 3 hour increments :/ She is still such a happy little girl though ... and as sleep deprived as we are, we are enjoying every minute with her! She refuses to take a bink still (which is contributing to the sleep issues because she has trouble self-soothing!). Her favorite thing to do is take a bath - she prefers lounging to sitting up in the bath tho :)
Happy girl in her leopard kitty pjs :)

Caleb trying to show Lexi just how cool all of the snowman toys are:

Turning 360* under her play gym:

Caleb likes to put his sock monkey lovey (aka "giggle") next to his sister's sock monkeylovey in her crib :)

So proud of himself :)

It's her first Christmas! She looks so thrilled with more pics!

We went down to Fredericksburg to find Lexi an outfit for family pictures ... Caleb got to eat in the food court :)

Lexi got to hang out with Mom:

Very serious about doing her hand slap down on her legs:

Caleb was getting ready to go up for the night ... we had changed his diaper but still hadn't put a new one on yet when he was dead set on getting his vite-a-min (used to be his "one-a-day", but graduated to vitamin):

Its a full moon!

Lexi got all dressed up (including tights and black mary janes!) to go to Daddy's unit Christmas party!

She was the belle of the ball!

My little sweet pea!

Daddy getting to hold his princess while Caleb and I ate:

Caleb got a snowman balloon from the Elf!

... and a sticker.

He thought the snowman balloon was pretty cool!

Telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas. This was the second Santa he had talked to (not to mention the third later on in the month so we could get real pictures). He was super serious that he wanted a BIG robot and some puzzles for Christmas.

Cookie decorating:

The first night she showed off her rolling skills!

He carried his snowman around everywhere!

Snuggling with Daddy:

We went and made Lexi's Christmas footprint plate!

Caleb has gotten really good at eating burritos :)

Little Miss Lexi is 4 months old!

She is so smiley and I LOVE it!!

Whaa!?

Caleb was such a good helper while I wrapped presents ... he took them all over and put them under the Christmas tree for me!

He checked things out too though :)

We tried rice cereal and squash with Lexi this month ... to no avail. Her tongue reflex is still too strong so we'll try again in a few weeks!

... but the girl loves a bath!

Piggy is still the best dog ever.

This is how we do Costco now. Lots of diapers and wipes.

The kids official Santa pic for 2014!

Piggy had her teeth cleaned and was still coming out of the anesthesia :P

Caleb put the nativity people on top of the chairs and then promptly let them "meet Jesus" as he smacked them all down.

Getting better at holding her head up while on her tummy!

Roly Poly!

My friend Shannon made this onesie and hairbow for Lexi!

She was a little doll while we were at MOPS!

Rolling around after MOPS:
... and she's over!

SO EXCITED about it too!

Caleb likes to "help Momma". He put the dog and cat food bags in the trash can :P

Sitting with Daddy:

Both my bebes!

Eating gingerbread men!

Helping decorate the cookies:

Whoops. Guess he needed a little more supervision.

It was messy ... but fun!

Caleb also got to color an ornament for the tree:

Snuggled in on a cold morning!

Bright eyed early in the AM!

After we got back from Texas we got to have our own Christmas morning! Caleb finally got to open the presents under the tree! He even helped his sister open her presents too:

Yaya woke up early to join us via FaceTime since she didn't get to see him this Christmas :)

Christmas carnage!

Happy (but teething) girl!

Trying squash ... and spitting it back out. Maybe next month :)
