We learned our lesson from last year...and waited until 30 October to carve our pumpkins! Hopefully (**fingers crossed**) we don't have completely rotten pumpkins in under 24 hours. Here is Michael starting his pumpkin:

They are very cool! We are not even carving this year. For a few reasons 1. Jeff is gone and they are really little for me to be using a big knife with no help. 2. We had uncarved pumpkins rot already.
So, I bought these Mr Potato Head type things and tonight we are going to "decorate" our pumpkins. I figure that even with just small holes in them, they will be rotten by tomorrow night!
Great job! Much better than ours that we carved tonight.
